Nikolaj Lie Kaas – Plays the role of Jan Van Der Velde
Nikolaj plays the important role of Jan Van Der Velde in the movie The Whistleblower. Nikolaj Lie Kaas is an alumni of the National Theatre School of Denmark. He passed out in the year 1998 and made his first on-screen appearance in 1991 film Drengene Fra Sankt Petri or The Boys from Sct. Petri, as the character Otto (who’s a rebellious son of a traitor). Nikolaj has been the three time host of the popular Zulu Comedy Galla on the Danish TV in the years 2009, 2011 and 2012. He was awarded the Robert Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in the years 2002 and 2012. He was also the recipient of the Lauritzen Award in the year 2012. Liam Cunningham – Plays the role of Bill Hynes
Born on June 2, 1961, Liam Cunningham is a screen and stage actor of Irish origin. He is widely recognized for his performance as Davos Seaworth in the extremely popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Liam was nominated for the British Independent Film Award and The London Film Critics Circle Award, apart from having won two Irish Film and Television Awards. He also shared BAFTA award with Michael Fassbender for the role they played in the crime-drama short film titled Pitch Black Heist.
Liam was born in an inner-city of North Dublin, known as East Wall. After having dropped out of the secondary school at the young age of 15, Liam went ahead and pursued the occupation of electrician. During 80s he moved to Zimbabwe for a period of three years, where he used to maintain the electrical equipment inside a Safari park and also trained many Zimbabwean electricians. He gave up the electrician work after returning to Ireland and started pursuing his interest in the field of acting. He became active in the local theatre while attending acting classes. Soon, he got a role in a ‘Studs’ production at The Tricycle Theatre situated in Kilburn, London.
The first film role that Liam played was of a policeman in ‘Into the West’. Thereafter, he gave remarkable performances in couple of movie productions titled A Little Princess and War of the Buttons. His first major role came in the movie Jude where he played Phillotson. He continued playing character roles in the movies like Shooting the Past, Stranded, When the Sky Falls, Falling for a Dancer and RKO 281. His tryst with international prominence came with his appearance as Captain Ryan in the Independent horror film titled Dog Soldiers.
